# Getting started with Ownbox

How to start with Ownbox: what you need, what happens after checkout, and how to talk to someone first. Updated 2026-10-18.

## What do I need before I buy?

- **An AI plan:** Claude or ChatGPT. A Claude Pro or Max plan, or ChatGPT Plus, Pro or Business, runs it.
- **For the SEO Machine:** a website.
- **For the Unified Inbox:** your Gmail, Instagram and Messenger accounts.

## What happens after I pay?

1. **Your Ownbox is built** on a server of its own.
2. **Your login arrives by email** in about five minutes. There is no server to set up and no terminal.
3. **You sign in your AI** from the settings, on the plan you already pay for.
4. **You connect your channels and your website,** and invite your team. Each person gets their own login.
5. **The next morning** your first Morning Review arrives: who to answer first and what happened overnight.

## What if it doesn't work?

If an Ownbox isn't up and running within a day of paying, Ownbox refunds the purchase in full.

## Can a developer try it for free?

Yes. A developer can start free on their own computer: one line, with no sign-up and no card, and they can build their first machine.
